چکیده

Abstract An interesting approach to achieving verifiability in voting systems is make use of tracking numbers. This gives voters a simple way verifying that their ballot was counted: they can simply look up ballot/tracker pair on public bulletin board. It crucial understand how trackers affect other security properties, particular privacy. However, existing privacy definitions are not designed accommodate tracker-based systems. Furthermore, the addition increases threat coercion. There does however exist techniques mitigate coercion threat. While term mitigation has been used literature when describing such as Selene, no formal definition seems exist. In this paper we formally define what means for We model Selene our framework and prove provides mitigation, verifiability.

Coercion-Resistant Hybrid Voting Systems

This paper proposes hybrid voting systems as a solution for the vote buying and voter coercion problem of electronic voting systems. The key idea is to allow voters to revoke and overrule their electronic votes at the polling station. We analyze the potential and pitfalls of such revocation procedures and give concrete recommendations on how to build a hybrid system offering coercion-resistance...

A collusion mitigation scheme for reputation systems

Reputation management systems are in wide-spread use to regulate collaborations in cooperative systems. Collusion is one of the most destructive malicious behaviors in which colluders seek to affect a reputation management system in an unfair manner. Many reputation systems are vulnerable to collusion, and some model-specific mitigation methods are proposed to combat collusion. Detection of col...

Coercion-resistance as Opacity in Voting Systems

Coercion-resistance is one of the key requirements of voting systems as it prevents an outsider from trying to persuade the voter to vote in a certain way. Although it usually implies receipt-freeness [15], it is usually formalised as a stronger property [23]. In this paper we analyse two voting schemes for coercion-resistance, namely Prêt à Voter [12] and FOO [17], and find that many of the re...
